Every material we choose has a purpose: to create eyewear that feels exceptional, performs beautifully, and is made to last.

Premium Italian Acetate

Our frames are crafted from premium Italian acetate by Mazzucchelli, one of the world’s most respected acetate manufacturers, with a heritage dating back to 1849.

Unlike conventional plastics, high-quality acetate is a plant-based material derived primarily from natural cellulose. It allows us to achieve the depth of colour, transparency, texture and distinctive character that define our frames, while offering the durability and comfort expected from premium eyewear.

Each sheet is carefully selected for its colour, finish and character before being shaped and polished by skilled Portuguese artisans. The result is a frame with a unique depth and finish that becomes even more distinctive with time.

ZEISS Lenses

For our lenses, we partner with ZEISS, a global leader in precision optics.

Our lenses are selected for their optical quality, clarity and performance, complementing the craftsmanship of each POENTE frame. Because exceptional eyewear is not only about how it looks but it is also about how you see through it.

Crafted in Portugal

Our materials are brought together in Portugal, where every frame is produced by hand by experienced artisans.

From the cutting and shaping of the acetate to the polishing, assembly and final finishing, each pair passes through numerous stages of skilled craftsmanship. This attention to detail is what transforms carefully selected materials into a finished POENTE frame.

We believe in using materials for a reason, not simply adding elements for the sake of appearance.

We avoid unnecessary plastics and components wherever possible, focusing instead on durable, high-quality materials that contribute to the performance, comfort and longevity of our frames.
